这次思科的新机器，应该说贝尔金的机器，linksys被思科抛弃，太不厚道了，小市场也是市场，国内几家互联网厂商挤破头都在往里钻。新机器WRT1900AC首当其冲的宣布支持OPENWRT，虽然目前存在很多不和谐的场景（Marvell舍不得自家研发的无线驱动），但是，既然宣布了，就肯定会慢慢发展的。从这一点，也显示出了OPENWRT在路由器市场的重要意义，之前十分热门的DD-WRT固件已经开始慢慢淡出路由OS界，这个可以从恩山论坛的dd-wrt板块人气可以明显看出，在DD-WRT兴盛时期，日货尝试BUFFALO就勇敢的和DD-WRT合作了，推出过所谓的“专业版”固件，在市场上受到极大的认可，需要使用DD-WRT固件的顾客都倾向于BUFFALO的路由器。
LINKSYS宣布对OPENWRT的支持，将进一步拓展OPENWRT在路由OS界的名称。相信在过不久的几年里，此款WRT1900AC将成为OPENWRT的经典机器。目前这款机器比较适合思科WRT54G的忠实粉丝，当年能玩WRT54G的也算是玩家中的高端人士，这会，可以再高端一次。

I had flashed the first public build and it worked with no issues but then of course they released a new build and I just had to try it. Now I can't get the thing to boot or get into recovery... Any pointers?---这个人刷了第一个公开版固件（非本页说的固件），表示没有问题，这个时候打算刷本页的固件，但是不能找到启动方式或者进入recovery，问谁有办法。

As a previous poster said, if you have already put the initial first build of Openwrt on this router and then go and program the newer "barrier breaker" through the web gui, it will BRICK the router. This happened to me today!!-------简言之就是不能直接升级BB版的op，会变砖，这个人已经变砖一次。
Only way to correct this situation is to program the new firmware from the Serial console with a tftp server that hosts the img file as NYT mentioned.-----------可以TFTP救砖

You can copy off of USB. run env print, look at the commands for flash_pri_image, translate to copying from usb instead of tftp. ? will give you help. It's easier to just use tftp. I had a beaglebone I was working on (just wrote a ruby lib for it) on my desk, just slapped tftpd-hpa on it and served the firmware from there. There are plenty of tftp servers available for any os, throw it on a laptop/pc, hook up to lan port on router, let it rip.----刷机办法，和普通路由器TFTP刷机差不多。

openwrt编译方法
This is the buildsystem for the OpenWrt Linux distribution.
Please use "make menuconfig" to configure your appreciated configuration for the toolchain and firmware.
For WRT1900AC: The "Target System" in make menuconfig should be set to "Marvell Armada XP/370"
The "Subtarget" in make menuconfig should be set to "Mamba"
In "Target Images" in make menuconfig you should enable "jffs2"
You need to have installed gcc, binutils, bzip2, flex, python, perl make, find, grep, diff, unzip, gawk, getopt, libz-dev and libc headers.
Run "./scripts/feeds update -a" to get all the latest package definitions defined in feeds.conf / feeds.conf.default respectively
Run "./scripts/feeds install -a" to install symlinks of all of them into package/feeds/.
Use "make menuconfig" to configure your image.
Simply running "make" will build your firmware. It will download all sources, build the cross-compile toolchain, the kernel and all choosen applications.
After the build completes the firmware image for the WRT1900AC will be located at: ./bin/mvebu/openwrt-mvebu-mamba-jffs2-128k.img
How to update from Belkin/Linksys UI---------如何升级
Login into WRT1900AC local UI
Navigate to the Connectivity tab
Select Manual firmware update
Select image to load (e.g., openwrt-armadaxp--jffs2-128k.img)
Select Update firmware
After the firmware is updated, the unit will reboot, and the default ip address will be 192.168.200.1
The OpenWrt system is documented in docs/. You will need a LaTeX distribution and the tex4ht package to build the documentation. Type "make -C docs/" to build it.
To build your own firmware you need to have access to a Linux, BSD or MacOSX system (case-sensitive filesystem required). Cygwin will not be supported because of the lack of case sensitiveness in the file system.
